Thai is very useful here

Hello,


Almost everybody here understands Thai,
it really makes me quite surprised.
Before this trip, I think it only can communicate
with Thai in Vientiean , for it is near the border of Thai.


But this time we speak Thai in shops, guest houses,
resturants, they mistook me as Thai sometimes though.


Therefore, your Thai can be used in both Thai and Lao, ha ha. Vong Vien is a quiet place which surrended by mountants semiliar with
Kuei-lin's, clear and smooth river flowing through the outlet of town,
you can floating on tube or peddling on a cayka along the river down to the stream.


Here in down are full with young western backpackers, which is quite the same as what i saw in Chiang Mai last year, All the menus and everything here are in English,
it reminds you all the times that you are a "tourist" now!!


Internet service is inexpensive here, around 1Baht per min, quite fast too.


It's good to have a chance to report to all of you other than to answer all the
questions in seperate occassions, but the time choosing should be a big problem,
isn't it, Dr. Lin?
